I am planting a new church in Mt. Juliet, TN with the mission of reaching the 70% of people in our community who attend no church on Sunday. I’m also husband to darling Dana and daddy to six of the greatest kids in the whole world!

StudioChurch.tv will be use lots of multimedia and the creative arts to communicate God’s truths because the way people communicate is changing. While media consumption continues to go up (12 billion videos are now viewed on YouTube each day in the U.S.), church attendance continues to remain low (70% of people in Mt. Juliet/greater Nashville choose not to attend any church on Sunday). Studio’s vision is to innovate the use of media in a church service in order to communicate God’s truths in the language of today to people who choose not to go to church. We recognize that our culture is going through one of the most transformative communication revolutions in our lifetime and the use of media is at its core.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
I grew up in Charlotte, NC and have served three churches as pastor and have been producing media for churches for the last ten years. I began my church ministry in the mid-80′s after doing stunt work on several movies, owning a seafood restaurant, and pursuing a career in NASCAR racing. After experiencing God’s call to ministry I moved with my new wife to Chicago, IL to attend Moody Bible Institute.  While in Chicago I accepted my first call to pastor a church in Brookfield, IL, and have served churches as pastor and in staff positions in Iowa and Colorado. While in Colorado I was media director for a large church and observed the stark difference between how much people learned when media was used to communicate verses talking or text. During my time in Colorado I was smitten with the media bug and that experience sealed in concrete the purpose, direction, and course my life would take. I’m glad that I did not know then how long or difficult the media church journey would be.

While I love my ministry work there is something I love more – my family. I’ve been married to my girlfriend and best friend Dana for twenty-six years, and have six great kids that I adore. William, Anna, Kristina, Robert, Abby, and Rose bring fill me with love and challenge me to be a better man. I am learning so much from the greatest gift God has ever given to me – my family.

I also enjoy writing, video production, photography, reading, travel, mountains, and watching movies with those I love.
